VTCT Hairdressing (Level 1, 2, 3)

Duration: 2 years Full Time. This course is also offered on a part time evening and day basis.

Course Description
This course introduces you to basic hairdressing skills required to assist a qualified stylist in Industry. On successful completion of Level 1 within the first year of your course students will progress to level 2. This course provides the knowledge, skills and understanding for you to work in this exciting and challenging industry.

What you will Study
Level 1 Hairdressing - Health and Safety in the Salon, Assisting with Reception duties, Develop working relationships within your role, Shampoo and condition the Hair and Assist with Perming and Colouring services.

Level 2 Hairdressing - Health and Safety in the Salon, Reception, Working Relationships, Advise and Consult with clients ,Shampoo and Condition the Hair and Scalp, Blow drying, setting and styling long hair, Basic Cutting Techniques, Perming and neutralising and Colouring.

In addition you will also study the following qualifications:-
NVQ Level 2 Customer service, Key skills, including Communication and Information Technology. Both courses include Work Experience, which is a mandatory part of the course.

On Completion
On successful completion of the level 2 qualification students can progress to Level 3 Hairdressing.
