Course Description:
Course Content:
The Award is carried out in a modern mechanical engineering workshop and the electrical option is completed in our electrical workshop. You will be getting hands-on experience by making engineering components and at the same time collecting material
for your portfolio, which provides the evidence of the underpinning knowledge needed to enable you to understand basic engineering principles. Literacy and numeracy classes may be added to the above units, which are designed to improve your all round skills.
In addition to this, you will be working on practical project work, which, together with Key Skills and an enrichment package, will improve your employment opportunities.

Assessment:
All units are assessed and graded, and you will be required to produce a portfolio.
