This course gives the students a broad understanding of all
aspects of working in Performing Arts and requires commitment.
You will be expected to attend rehearsals and performances which will take place during the evenings and occasionally at weekends. You must be a team player as you will be expected to work in groups.
What will I study?
The 18 Units over 2 years cover:
· Rehearsing, Acting, and Performing to an audience
· Devising plays for performance and improvisation
· The Performing Arts Business
· Historical context of Performance
· Musical Theatre, Singing for Actors, Physical Theatre
· Dance Performance (optional)
· Stage Management, Technical Theatre
· TV and Video Production, Acting for TV

Progression/Careers: What could I go on to do when this course is completed?
UCAS points are gained according to your level of achievement. You may progress onto University Degrees or HNDs. You will be
successfully equipped to move into degrees in Performing Arts.
Past students have successfully attended Universities or Drama Schools to take degrees in TV and Film, Performance, Media, Stage Management and Acting. Many others are now working in Film, TV and Theatres as performers or production staff.
Costs/Equipment: Studio Fee: between £45-£55 per year. There will also be expenses for visits outside of the College
