Course programme

On successful completion of the HNC course, students can apply for the HND in Performing Arts, apply to university, or go into employment related to the Performing Arts Industry.

There are many areas of employment relating to the performing arts industry. Examples of these are: teacher/tutor, drama/movement therapist, animator, education officer, actor, director, dancer, choreographer among others.

Course Assessment Method

Assessment will be evidenced in a number of ways: practical work, presentations, projects, essays and filmed work. The course is intensive and students will be expected to engage in informed debate about current issues in the performing arts and consider the contexts through which their own art form has evolved.

There are two core units: Research and Professional Practice. These two core units underpin the work studied for the six specialist option modules studied on the course.
