This 1-year full-time course provides learners with the skills and knowledge to support progression onto a Level 3 Access programme. The objective of the course is to provide a supportive & friendly environment to enable you to develop your potential and to prepare you for study at Level 3 or beyond.

Entry requirements
You must be committed to developing your ability. No formal academic qualifications are required. All applicants will undertake an entrance test to ascertain skill levels in literacy and numeracy; in addition you will be invited to attend an interview.

What will I study?
You will study Sociology, Psychology, Human Physiology & Health, Health Studies and the Key Skills of IT, Numeracy and Communication. Study is at level 1 initially then onto level 2.

How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed by continual assessment, essays, projects and oral presentations with some end-of-unit tests. You will also be expected to maintain your course files and all portfolios to the required standards.

Career Opportunities & Progression
After successfully completing this programme, you will be able to progress onto a Level 3 Access course.
