Course Content

This course prepares you for employment within the industry in an assisting role. You cover both the practice and theory of hairdressing.

Basic skill areas covered include:

• Assisting with Perming & Colouring
• Health & Safety
• Preparing for Hairdressing Services
• Reception
• Shampoo & Conditioning
  Teamwork.
  

Progression to NVQ Level 2 would be considered for some learners however this would be dependant on tutor references, interview, timely completion of L1 and succesful completion of key skills. Learners are reminded that they will need to work towards upgrading of existing GCSE in Enlish and one other whilst undertaking L2.

Method of Assessment

Continual Practical/Oral/Written Assessment and project.

Progression

On completion of this programme you may be able to progress to NVQ Level 2 and/or work within the industry.
