Course Content

The BTEC ND for IT Practitioners provides a broad base of computing knowledge and applications for learners. It is an 18-Unit qualification with six core units and 12 specialist units. It is assessed internally through coursework. It is suitable for 16-19 year-olds wishing to work in the IT field or progress to higher education in this area. The National Certificate for IT Practitioners is a 12-Unit qualification based on the same lines as the National Diploma.

The BTEC ND for IT Practitioners provides a broad base of computing knowledge and applications for learners wishing to enter a career as an IT practitioner or technician in the area of Business IT Systems, User Support, Networking and Software Development. The qualification also provides progression to higher education vocational qualifications such as BTEC Higher National Diploma in Computing or a full-time degree in Computing.
