Course Content

This course provides good progression on to level 2 courses. It is aimed at those with less than 2D's at GCSE. The course will also involve the study of key skills.

Course Features

Opportunities to study a range of modules IT and Business.

Opportunity to improve key skills in Communication, Numeracy, IT and the wider key skills.

An opportunity to gain the new Welsh Baccalaureate qualification.

Students will also have an opportunity to follow a personal development programme aimed at improving confidence, communication skills and self management. This will give better opportunities for further study and employment.
Career Prospects and Progression

Students who successfully complete the course may progress to Edexcel level 2 programmes or NVQ Level 2 programmes within the college. Those entering employment may gain supervised positions in the workplace.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements but a reasonable standard of literacy is required to complete the course. The course is aimed at students who have achieved good results in their CoEA courses or who have achieved Grades E - G at GCSE.
