Full time training, normally three days per week, for students with a keen interest in agricultural mechanics who are either intending to join the trade or wish to progress to higher education. Training includes the repair, servicing and maintenance of a wide range of agricultural machinery.
About this course
No formal qualifications required but evidence of practical ability is useful. One or two days a week at a work placement is of benefit to develop practical skills but this is not essential.

Essential underpinning knowledge giving the theory behind the practical tasks carried out.
Welding and fabrication practical and theory training.
Career Prospects and Progression
On successful completion of this course students may be able to progress to the Agricultural Mechanics Level 3 and full apprenticeship training. Alternatively further education training at a higher level may be appropriate.
