About this course
Anyone over 16 years old, willing & able to participate in low impact aerobic class, wishing to improve their fitness levels in a fun exercise class.

Course programme
Perform simple dance steps and exercises in a low impact exercise class in order to burn calories. Follow fun moves to music. Move rhythmically to the beat. Warm up in a circle & stretch muscles. Learn/ reinforce/ practise dance moves, steps and exercises. Work aerobically to burn calories. Improve muscle strength and co-ordination. Wall or mat work to shape legs, hips and waistline. Working as a group and individually. Improve balance.
Assessment Details
Through observation and by communicating verbally. Completion of short learning outcome forms at the beginning and end of course. There is no formal course accreditation.
Teaching Methods
Through demonstration. to the whole group. Instructions are given orally and visually, cuing and counting beats.
