This PGCE in Further Education and Skills with a focus on numeracy gives you the tools you need to support teaching of numeracy. We prepare you for teaching in further education colleges, adult education centres, healthcare and community organisations.
On this course, you will gain the pedagogical skills needed to teach numeracy in the secondary and further education sector. With the support of our experts, you will plan, deliver, assess and evaluate teaching and learning strategies that generate enthusiasm for mathematics. You will analyse innovative approaches to the teaching of mathematical thinking and processes, and review resources and activities across a range of models.

About this course
For the Postgraduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) applicants and the Professional Graduate Certificate in Education (ProfGCE), applicants should have:
A 2.2 or above in an honours degree in a relevant subject
Level 3 qualification in relevant subject if degree is not in a relevant subject
GCSE English at C or above or equivalent.
