Individual element assessment to enhance gas engineers portfolios of qualifications, which will help to increase work opportunities. CONGLP1 is designed for practising gas engineers who are employed or self employed who wish to install, service and maintain domestic cookers. There is a half-day assessment that is a combination of theory knowledge and practical skills.

You will need to be employed/self employed and demonstrate previous CCN1 certification and element certification which is either currently active or less than 12 months expired.

Year 1
You will learn how to changeover gas appliances from natural gas to LPG. The assessment covers: cylinder location; safety requirements; sizing for single controls; LPG supply pressure; operation of and positioning emergency isolation; flow controls and valves; gas emergency actions and procedures; installation of pipe work and fittings; tightness testing; system pressure check; regulators; under pressure and over pressure valves; ventilation requirements.
