This course is aimed at those wishing to become a Gas Safe Registered Engineer. This can be in Domestic or Commercial gas work. Gas Safe require that an engineer must hold a recognised qualification in order to be included on the Gas Safe Register. The most common of these are ACS qualifications. In order to take the ACS qualifications, candidates must be able to prove they have undertaken an approved Managed Learning Programme. This course, once successfully completed, will allow you to take the ACS assessments.

About this course
This approved course provides theory and practical training, in order to allow the successful candidate entry to the ACS scheme - these are the qualifications required to register with Gas Safe.
This course is aimed at those who wish to become a gas engineer, working in domestic property or commercial property.
Candidates do not require any prior qualifications, knowledge or experience. However, a good level of English and Maths, along with practical experience of using hand and power tools would be an advantage. You will be invited to attend the centre for an initial assessment prior to starting the course to ensure that the course meets your requirements.
On successful completion, you will be awarded a certificate of training. This will allow you entry to the relevant ACS assessments, which you will need to become Gas Safe Registered.
ECTA are expert trainers in the gas industry, and have been providing domestic and commercial gas training and assessments since 2005. Our relaxed atmosphere, along with excellent facilities means you will get the most out of your training. Our class sizes remain small, with a maximum of 10 candidates on a course, aiming to give you the best possible outcome.
We will send you an email with further information, and call you to answer any questions you may have. We may invite you to attend the centre for an initial assessment, which is free of charge. This will allow us to ensure that the course is right for you.
The cost is dependent on the type of gas work you want to do once qualified. For example, if you want to work in domestic property, most engineers will aim to gain qualification to work on Central Heating Boilers, Gas Fires and Cookers. However, you may not want to work on Gas fires, so the duration of the course, and therefore the cost will be reduced. We will provide you with a tailored quote, based on the type of gas work and gas appliances you will want to work on once qualified.
