Course Description:
To provide an understanding of the key concepts of Chemistry. This could prepare you to study for an A-Level in Chemistry or provide the qualification in Science you need for employment or further education.

Description Breakdown:
There are two units covering the fundamentals of chemistry (atomic structure, periodic table, quantitative chemistry and applications (cosmetics, cooking, industrial). These two units are assessed by two written examinations in June. The third unit consists of practical topics and a report of a 'science in the news' story and is assessed internally.
