GCSE Financial Services

This is a "learning by doing" hands-on course, which promotes enjoyment, motivation, high pupil achievement and develops their transferable skills which are important in working life.

The student centred approach to learning allows the students the opportunity to apply their developing knowledge in relevant, interesting and work-related contexts. They undertake research, meet deadlines, work with others and have the opportunity to be enterprising and creative.

How the course is assessed

The course is made up of three units. Unit 1 & 2 are work related assignments and are assessed internally. Unit 3 is an hour long examination which is divided into two parts. Part A short answer questions and Part B longer responses required.

Unit 1: Internal Assessment 25%

Unit 2:Internal Assessment 50%

Unit 3: External Assessment 25%
