NVQ Level 3 Care

To complete the NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care candidates must complete a total of eight units – four mandatory and four optional.

Mandatory units:

• Promote choice, wellbeing and the protection of all individuals
• Promote effective communication for and about individuals
• Promote, monitor and maintain health, safety and security in the working environment
• Reflect on and develop your practice

Optional units:

A choice of seven units from a range of options, which relate specifically to your workplace

• Clinical activities
• Care planning
• Managing continence
• Therapeutic group activities
• Moving and handling
• Knowledge of services and facilities
