Course Content: This programme is for people who have a basic knowledge and who want to take their language to a higher level, and wish to take the GCSE exam

The course contents may include:

· Initiate and develop social contacts

· Discover a locality

· Deal with travel situations

· Handle situations in a restaurant or a social occasion

· Use health and welfare services

· Communicate by letter

· Organise accommodation

· Participate in a discussion and leisure activities

· Daily routine

Special Features: GCSE exam includes four modules - listening, speaking, reading, writing

Course Format: 2.5 hours per week

Progression: AS / A-level French (not currently offered at Tameside College)
