About this course

Before beginning this course, it is advisable that students have prior knowledge of manicure techniques and it is recommended that students attend our Manicure and Pedicure course to acquire such skills.

No need to purchase a kit, all products required on this course are provided by the Nails and Beauty Academy.

All applicants must be over the age of 16 before attending any Nails and Beauty Academy courses

This advanced course will teach you how to apply one of the most popular nail overlay treatments to create amazing results. You will learn how to apply silk and fibreglass nail tips and UV Gel overlay to create a natural look or a permanent French finish.

The course will include:


  • Salon hygiene.

  • Preparation of treatment room.

  • Contra-indications and contra-actions.

  • Client management.

  • Preparation of the natural nail.

  • Practical instruction on application of gel overlay.

  • Practical instruction on application of silk and/or fibreglass overlays

  • Practical instruction on permanent French finish.

  • Maintenance procedure.

  • Removal of nail extensions.
