Our General English courses range from Beginner to Advanced level and are designed to improve your confidence and ability in communicating in English. We use multi-media and traditional methods to ensure our courses are both interesting and effective.

Our courses focus on the skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening with an emphasis on improving your fluency and speaking skills. We pay particular attention to your personal needs through our weekly progress tests and goal setting tutorials.

About this course

A 15 hour per week General English course in central London provides progress in English Language fluency in every day situations as well as Academic use of the English Language while leaving students enough time to experience life in London to the full.

We have General English classes up to 8 levels. We provide a written and spoken level placement tests to provide you with a course at the correct level for your needs

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: CEFR level A1
MINIMUM AGE: 16 years

Our courses are primarily aimed at adults aged over 18 but we do welcome students aged 16 and 17. Edgware Academy has a responsibility to provide a safe & healthy learning environment for all our students and staff but especially for students under the age of 18 and vulnerable adults.

After successful cource completion, student receives completion of studies Certificate.

Edgware Academy is accredited by the British Accreditation Council and inspected regularly against strict criteria.

1. We answer specific inquiries and encourage more questions.
2. We ask student to fill up our Application form
3. Student receives confirmation of registration and invoice together with payment options.
4. If student requires visa letter, we can provide that once the deposit is paid (250 GBP for courses up to 6 months, and 450 GBP for courses more than 6 months)
5. We send letter of acceptamce upon receipt of payment, with welcome letter indicating some important information about life in the UK and the Academy.

This course is per week based, the more weeks yo buy the less you pay! Do not lose this opportunity, buy the 24+ weeks pack for a special price!

1 -3 weeks: 150 GBP/ per week, 4-7 weeks: 130 GBP/per week, 8-13 weeks: 110 GBP/per week, 14- 23 weeks: 95 GBP, 24 + weeks: 80 GBP.

OUR AIM IS TO GET STUDENTS INVOLVED WITH CLASSROOM INTERACTION THROUGH RELEVANT, FUN AND TASK-BASED LEARNING ACTIVITIES.

1) Speaking and listening activities are aimed at helping students with life in the UK.

2) Pronounciation and fluency is improved through speaking and listening activities.
3) Reading and writing activities aim progress in grammar and fluency in use of the English Language.
4) Each teaching session covers 4 skills of English Language through activities directed at correct level of fluency of the classroom.
5) Workbooks for self study are recommended at each level for self study.
6) Teachers make every effort to integrate lessons with life outside the classroom so that students benefit linguistically from their stay in the UK.
7)Small end of week tests are given to monitor student progress
8) Daily homework activities promote learning outside the classroom.
9) Course completion certificates are issued to students who fulfil the Academy's attendance criteria indicating level of fluency at the end of the course.
