Get Started with Painting on Fabric

How will I learn?

A structured start is followed by guided independent practice. Group discussions and reviews will be integral to the course. PowerPoint presentations and video clips will also be utilised. Handouts will be provided with more information and methods used.

How will my progress be monitored and assessed?

Progress will be monitored on a weekly basis and one-to-one discussions between the tutor and yourself. You will build up a portfolio of sample work.

A range of art-related courses. Your tutor will be able to advise further.

What equipment or materials will I need to provide?

Tutor will provide some fabric dye and fabrics. You will need to bring the following: Palette, water pot, various size paint brushes, A4 painting paper, acrylics or watercolour. Your tutor will advise you further as you progress with projects.

What other support is available?

Help with numeracy or literacy is available. ICT drop-in sessions are available during term time and are open to all learners. Additional support can be provided for students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. Learner Support Funding is available for equipment, childcare and travel to learners who qualify.  Practice a variety of paint and drawing techniques on paper
 Interpreting concepts and ideas
 How to use different types of ink
 Use of the colour theory

 Projects include book marks, wall hanging, tote bag, t-shirt
