Course summary:

Course content:
The AS specification has 2 units:-

Unit 1 â€-Portfolio†, introduces candidates to a variety of experiences, employing a range of media, processes and techniques which may include Painting, Drawing, Mixed Media, Sculpture, Photography and Film.

Unit 2 is an externally set assignment over a given period of time. Candidates select one of five starting points, producing preparatory and finished pieces of work.
Qualifications achieved:
GCE AS Level Art and Design, awarded by AQA.
Progression opportunities:
Successful students could progress to A2 Level in Fine Art then a BTEC Diploma in Foundation Studies leading to a degree in Art & Design.
