Course programme

The Gold Master site is an excellent resource for faculty looking for ideas, inspiration and effective teaching tools when it comes to maximizing the potential of the Blackboard environment. The site, built by teachers, for teachers, is broken down into three main areas: Main Content, Bonus Material and General Information. There are three modules in the Main Content Area: Blackboard Tools, Editor Tools and Premiere Content. Within the Blackboard Tools, faculty will learn how to maximize each of the Blackboard tools including Wikis, Discussion Boards, Blogs, Assessments and Achievements. The Editor Tools module focuses on hyperlink modifications and text-based edits meant for beginners and more advanced users. The Premiere Content module focusses on an array of tools available to faculty for building high-end, interactive and engaging content including course introduction videos, animation, Storyline productions, Tweets, Drag & Drop activities and infographics. In the Bonus Material area, faculty will find a number of useful resources linked to course design (Drab to Fab), Advanced Blackboard tools (Extra Tools) and Research Resources (White Papers, Academic Journal Articles, Teaching Tips and Strategies). Finally, in the General Information area, faculty can explore the Humber Template and view the Credits page to see who contributed to the site.
