Course programme
This is a 2-day course designed to introduce participants to some of the basic skills that are needed for the delivery of group work. It has been specifically developed for individuals who have no experience, or limited experience, of delivering group based activities/interventions, who wish to develop their knowledge and skills of group work processes and techniques. This interactive training course provides delegates the opportunity to learn and practice skills required for the delivery of group based activities/interventions, including role-play as a treatment technique. This course includes sessions on preparation for group work; presentation skills; giving feedback; co-facilitation; leading discussion; role-play and group dynamics.
Group Work Skills is suitable for individuals beginning to work with patients in a group setting. The course explores in detail group work processes and skills for people to further their development in this area.
