Course description If you want to explore what working in the hair and beauty industry is really like, begin to develop a number of highly relevant skills, and build up a good knowledge of techniques and abilities for a future career, this is the course for you. For this Level 1 Certificate in Hair and Beauty Skills, you'll learn how to create a hair and beauty image using colour. You'll then have the opportunity to choose at least four additional units from a wide selection of topics. You could dive deeper into skincare and how to look after a customer's hands, feet and nails, or you might want to enhance your customer service and retail skills further to promote products and services in a salon. Whether you want to focus on hair care or make-up application, you'll be developing a range of skills and abilities that will be laying the foundation for further study and an exciting future career in hair and beauty.

3. Entry requirements The only qualification we ask you to have for this certificate course is an Entry Level 3 or above in English. Beyond that, you should just have good listening and communication skills, the ability to work both in a team and individually, and a natural artistic flair.
