Overview
If a career in hairdressing is your dream, our Advanced Apprenticeship will give you the confidence you need to pursue a range of opportunities in Industry. Training takes place in industry and in our professional on site salons, so you will gain the experience, skills and qualifications you need to succeed in this face paced industry. You will specialise in hairdressing and design and study client consultation, salon management and health and safety techniques so that you are trained to professional standards.

Entry Requirements
No formal entry requirements for Level 2 however you must have a positive attitude also be committed and in employed within the industry to enrol on the course. You must complete a trade-test for entry on to Level 3. You must be employed in a hair salon to qualify for the apprenticeship, working a minimum of 30 hours a week within the industry.

Course Duration
Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3 is 1 Year – 18 months.

Mandatory Units
NVQ Level 3: There are four mandatory units: Monitor procedures to safely control work operations 4 credits Promoting additional products 6 Credits How to provide a hairdressing consultation service 3 credits Creating a wide variety of looks using different cutting techniques 8 credits Total of 21 Plus 5 optional units for you to choose from which total 37 credits Full total of 58 credits and Functional Skills: English and maths at Level 2.

There are no optional units on this qualification.

Course Assessment
You will complete online tests that will relate theory to practice. You will also collect evidence from the work place.
