The ECITB have now made it a mandatory requirement for all bolt tensioning and torquing specialists within the Oil & Gas and Wind Industry to obtain a single industry accepted accreditation for their skills.

Course programme
Our course is the full 2.5 day course covering the following techniques:
- MJI 10 Hand Torquing Techniques - dismantle, prepare and secure hand torque bolted connections
- MJI 18 Hydraulic Tensioning Techniques - dismantle, assemble and tension bolted connections using hydraulic tensioning equipment
- MJI 19 Hydraulic Torquing Techniques - dismantle, assemble and tighten bolted connections using powered torque equipment
On completion candidates will have knowledge of:
- ensuring intended tasks conform to related specification, methods, materials, process, techniques and procedures
- dismantling techniques, inspection of components, alignment techniques and clamp connectors as well as assembly and tightening techniques in specialist critical bolting.
Each successful candidate after completion of the course is required as part of the ECITB regulation to compile and keep a record of work and projects worked upon.
The Training and Technical Tests are provided as two separate elements of the overall course with the Technical Tests completed by the delegates, following a period of carrying out workplace specific practical applications, related to the new skills and knowledge provided from the Training Course.
Only after completing these work place tasks, usually within a 3 to 12 month period following on from successful completion of the Training, can the delegate return to take the Technical Test.
Our fully accredited ECITB training instructor will ensure all participants of the course gain up to date industry knowledge and information relating to this specialist skill.
