Health and Safety Awareness and Risk Assessment

This course augments our health and safety awareness course with a more
substantial risk assessment element. It is suitable for staff requiring
introductory or refresher training in health and safety issues in the workplace and a briefing on risk assessment practice.

Course Content & Certificate
Content: introduction to the 1974 Act - employer and employee duties - duty
of care - safety policies - hazard and risk - the risk assessment process
including: dealing with contractors, lone working, pregnancy and travelling on duty and related events - incident reporting - fire safety (causes of fire,
emergency procedures, warning systems, fire extinguishers)
Successful completion of the course gives a Training for Care certificate of
training.
