well-being.
What will I study?
Areas of study include communications in health and social care,
equal opportunities and clients' rights, factors affecting human
growth and development and physical aspects of health and health
and safety. Work placement is an essential part of this course and
you will also develop your communication, numeracy and IT
skills.

This can lead to a range of degree courses, including: health,
nursing, social work, social policy, social science, psychology or
criminology. It can also lead to employment as a care worker,
supervisor, community worker, community support and outreach
worker.

You will need to have completed a BTEC First Diploma Certificate
with a merit or above, or four GCSEs grades A-C. Students without
formal qualifications are also welcome to apply. All applicants are
offered an assessment and interview. We also accept students
transferring from another college for year two. We will also
require you to have a Criminal Records Bureau check.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment takes the form of assignments,tests and three weeks
of work experience which mandatory students meet regularly with
their course tutors to plan and discuss progress.
What will it cost?
If you are under 19 and a home student, in most circumstances,
you don't pay any fees. However, you will need to find this out
when you apply.
