About the Course
To gain the full qualification you need to achieve
six units.
Unit 1: Preparing to give quality care
Unit 2: Communicating with service users in care settings
Unit 3: Practical Caring
Unit 4: Hygiene and safety in care settings
Unit 8: Preparing to work with young children
Unit 9: Preparing to work with older service users
Course Aims
To provide you with the background knowledge in Health and Social Care to work in the field or advance to further training or education.

How is the course assessed?
A variety of assessment methods are used. There are no examinations. Students will do a minimum of 20 days work experience.
Fees
No Course Fees for Under 19's. Over 19's must pay, or claim Level 2 or Level 3 Entitlement for FREE courses .
What next?
You may progress to AS Level Health and Social Care. Alternatively, you may seek
employment in the care field.
