About this course

Applicants will need a to have a minimum of 240 HE credits, of which at least 120 must be at level two. These credits must be in a related discipline.

Students wishing to enrol on the programme without the required number of credits may be eligible to make an application based on APEL (accredited prior experiential learning).

How do I study the course?

This course can be studied as a 1-year full-time course of 16 hours per week starting in September.

This can also be studied as a part-time route which is flexible and enables students to pace their progress to fit in with other commitments. Students are required to register for a minimum of 40 credits per year.

On both the full-time and part-time routes there will be a variety of teaching strategies. Some modules will be based on case studies and seminar discussions, some on work packs and supporting tutorials, and some on more conventional lectures. Many modules are supported by the college e-learning portal. The work-based module, includes an 80 hour experience placement in a health and social care setting.

What can I do after this course?

Upon successful completion of this course you will be able to embark on to a range of careers in the Health and Social Care sector
