Course Program:

The Health & Safety (Consultation With Employees) Regulations 1996 requires employers to establish comprehensive consultation arrangements. This course enables employee representatives to make a genuine and balanced contribution to health and safety.

The course covers:

• Duties of safety representatives
• The Company safety policy – competent persons
• Essential health and safety law and enforcement – powers of Inspectors
• Employee Safety training
• Risk assessments – group exercises
• Welfare of the employee, fire safety and fist aid essentials
• Accidents, diseases, dangerous occurrences and near miss reporting

Safety elements: Manual handling, chemicals, offices and display screens, machine safety.
