Higher Apprenticeship - Business and Administration

This Higher Apprenticeship will enable you to gain both generic and specific management skills, as well as the technical skills appropriate to your field or aspiration. It will also equip you with knowledge and understanding relevant to your chosen career paths and aspirations, within a business and professional administration context.

Level 4 is ideal if you deliver administrative support services and contribute at a strategic level. You may lead or manage a team, or want to move on to such a role. You need a range of administrative and management skills, such as budget management.

Topics covered include:

• Managing the work of an administrative function

• Resolving administrative problems

• Business ethics

• Communicating in a business environment

The learning experience will include group discussions, where you will be able to mix with other students from a wide range of industries to share ideas and experience.

You will have access to the College excellent facilities including a well-equipped library and learning resource centre where there are plenty of computers for independent study.

Good English and maths skills are essential for success in studying and for future employment prospects and so Croydon College ensures that these skills are developed in all learning opportunities.

It’s also important to have good English and maths qualifications and so all students will study English and maths and work towards an appropriate level and type of qualification including GCSE
