About the course
This is a vocational course which replaces the level 4 NVQ in Leadership & Management for Care Services and the level 4 NVQ in Health and Social Care. It aims to guide and assess the development of knowledge, understanding and skills in management and advanced practice within Health and Social Care. It also confirms competence and serves as a required qualification for registration and regulatory requirements in the sector. Course Fees

Subjects covered Core Units include: Communication Skills Promoting Professional Development Championing Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Developing Health, Safety and Risk Management Procedures Partnership Working Optional Units could include: Lead person-centred care Understanding Dementia Supervised Research Project Assessing the individual Safeguarding and protection of Vulnerable Adults Functional Skills classes in English, Mathematics and ICT will be provided as required. The course is primarily delivered in the workplace with afternoon workshops in College once a month to provide guidance, theory and opportunities for meeting fellow students. Assessment Assessment is a combination of workplace based assessment and auditing with additional college based assignments and case studies. Evidence presented could include care plans, observations, internal audit records and testimony from expert witnesses (including clients and employers).
