Higher (Level 4) Apprenticeship - Hospitality Management

This hands-on course will give you the chance to explore new ideas and develop new skills and will suit a person who has the ability to lead and manage a workforce.

It is aimed at students who are aged 18 or over and are in a managerial position, with good support from your management team. It’s also essential that you have access to budgets, policies and procedures.

The practical and varied topics covered on the course include:

• Managing the performance of teams and individuals;
• Working as part of a hospitality management team to achieve strategic goals;
• Developing beverage lists to complement menus;
• Planning and designing food production areas.

The learning experience on the course will feature on the job training and options of workshops either in College or with a trainer. You will make use of facilities both at your workplace and in the College, including our excellent library and learning resource centre.

Good English and maths skills are essential for success in studying and for future employment prospects and so Croydon College ensures that these skills are developed in all learning opportunities.

It’s also important to have good English and maths qualifications and so all students will study English and maths and work towards an appropriate level and type of qualification including GCSE.
