Course programme

History of Art

Introduction

Art history programmes focus mainly on western art and architecture. Historical surveys and introductions to materials and methods provide the basis for more specialised topics studied in seminars that you choose yourself.

Assessment
Your progress is assessed by essays and presentations that develop your writing and research skills. You will receive feedback on your coursework. The formal assessment of your degree is based on coursework and examinations taken at the end of your second and final years (third and final years for History of Art with Study Abroad), and on your dissertation.
