Course Summary
These courses provides advanced technical knowledge through electrical and electronic engineering principles, concepts and theory.

These courses also provide the higher level technical vocational electrical and electronic engineering skills to equip you for a range of related occupations. The HNC course is offered on a part-time basis over two years and can be topped up to a HND qualification with an extra year of study, either full-time or part-time.

Studying the BTEC HNC or HND in Electrical Electronic Engineering course at the College means that you are able to study a nationally recognised Higher Education qualification locally and without attending university.

Entry requirements
HNC entry requirements:
A full Level 3 qualification to include a minimum of BTEC Subsidiary Diploma in Engineering or a related subject. To include Level 3 maths and electrical principles or a minimum of two A-level equivalents in relevant subjects (maths, electronics, physics).

HND entry requirements:
The HND is a one year top-upn from the HNC Electrical and Electronic Engineering. The units gained on your HNC must be transferable to suit the HND matrix. Those with significant work experience in the industry may also be considered following interview to assess suitability for the course.
