About this course

Two Highers or an appropriate group of National Certificate modules, including Communication 4. Applicants should also have some experience in a social care setting. All applicants will be invited to an information session and must provide satisfactory personal references and a satisfactory Disclosure Scotland check.

Social Care Theory For Practice. Psychological Perspectives in Care. Sociological Perspectives in Care. Social Policy & Social Services Provision. Social Care Graded Unit. SVQ Social Care Practice Units.

Progression Opportunities:
Successful candidates may progress to degree level study in Social Work and/or COSCA Ceritificate in Counselling Skills.

Career Potential:
Careers can be sought in the areas of social care, community care or health care.
