About this course
NC Sound Production / Dance Music Production / Urban/Electronic Music Production or two Highers in relevant subjects, preferably English. Alternatively, a group of appropriate NC modules, an ONC or OND in an appropriate subject or a City & Guilds Technician qualification in an appropriate subject. Some applicants may be admitted without formal qualifications.

Students who successfully pass the HNC may progress to year 2 of HND Sound Production.
Career Potential:
Opportunities exsist in a range of audio/music-related courses, including sound engineer, live PA engineer, sound editor, music producer, broadcast and computer audio specialist.
Course Assessment:
Assessment is on a continous basis where each module is broken down into seperate performance criteria. The main emphasis of the course is on a practical basis however certain modules are project/research based and are assessed through submitted written work. Assessment will include a mandatory Group Award Graded Unit.
