HND Applied Sport & Exercise Science

Course Aims:
This new HND is delivered at very few colleges throughout Scotland. Year 1 is similar to HNC Fitness, Health & Exercise. Students will complete a range of practical and theoretical units increasing their confidence within fitness and in leading groups. Sport science options will allow students to progress to Year 2 where applied sport & exercise science units begin. Career Potential:
Candidates will be able to deliver exercise sessions to group as well as advise people on the best ways to train putting them in an ideal position to gain employment within the fitness industry. Providing sports science support by way of nutritional input and fitness testing will also allow successful candidate to be of use to various employers.
