Introduction:
This introductory course to Spanish will cover the language required to make acquaintances, travel around, make bookings (hotel/campsites etc), hire vehicles, order meals and drinks, make purchases in a range of shops and, in general, cope with everyday needs. Above all, the aim is to make language learning a thoroughly enjoyable activity.

Study Mode & Location:
This 10 week part-time course lasts for 2 hours a week and will be held at Preston North End Learning Centre, PNE Football Club, Bill Shankley Kop, Hollins Road, Deepdale, Preston, PR1 6RU.

Course Content:
Students will cover the language required to:

  • Make acquaintances.
  • Travel around.
  • Make bookings - hotel/campsites etc.
  • Hire vehicles.
  • Order meals and drinks.
  • Make purchases in a range of shops.
  • Cope with everyday needs.


A strong emphasis will be paid to correct, authentic pronunciation and an attempt made to enable students to speak with a reasonable degree of fluency.

Assessment:
Assessment is by continuous evaluation of student progress by monitoring responses in class oral work and the ability to use Spanish in situational dialogues.

Careers & Progression Opportunities:
This course can lead to 20 week beginner Spanish classes.

We accept SOLO and major credit cards (eg Access, Visa, Switch, Delta) EXCEPT American Express. Many courses have limited places so please enquire as soon as possible.
