BIH Ireland is pleased to warmly welcome students from the all over the world who intend to participate in the ‘FREE MOVERS’ or ‘VISITING STUDENTS’ project. Many of you will be some distance from home and we will do our best to ensure that your stay with us will be academically rewarding and socially enjoyable. The expressions ‘FREE MOVERS’ and ‘VISITING STUDENTS’ are used to identify students who decide to travel at their own expense by a foreign university, outside of the Erasmus program and other community programs, obtaining the recognition of studies abroad. We hope you will find the information in this website informative and helpful. It covers such matters as application and registration procedures, the choice of courses, campus services, accommodation costs and social life. BIH Ireland has taken a number of steps to ensure that Visiting students coming here receive all the necessary attention and assistance they need. Our International Education Office is responsible for the overall co-ordination of the many programmes in which we are partners and can assist with the various practical and personal matters which arise for any student settling into a new environment in an unfamiliar country. We are confident that your stay with us will be a fruitful one and that you will leave Ireland with fond memories of your time spent in BIH Ireland. What is 'FREE MOVERS0 Project? The term "free mover" is used to identify those students who choose to go at his own expense by a foreign university, outside the Erasmus program and other programs, gaining recognition for study abroad. The Project 'Free Movers' is the ideal choice for students who want: - to implement a study abroad alongside a period of training - to learn or improve your knowledge of a foreign language - to specialize in a particular topic of study and / or specific - to write your thesis Economic aspects Students who move from a European University as "free movers" must respect the entry requirements and conditions in the host University.' Free Movers " students (which some universities call" Visiting Students ") are reuired to pay a financial contribution for access courses, It is good to remember that the acquisition of student status "free mover" does not exempt from paying tuition fees at the hosting Institution. It 'should be noted that all procedures and formalities leading to the acquisition of the status of "Free Movers" are responsibility of the student being the project located outside the regular Erasmus programs. The student's University simply need to approve, by special resolution of the Faculty Council, the presented project ensuring the recognition of studies abroad. Recognition of studies abroad The recognition of studies during the 'Free Movers' project is at the sole discretion of the belonging University or College. Free movers Project is equivalent to that currently in force for the Socrates / Erasmus. Project duration The "free mover" includes a period spent abroad not less than three months and not exceeding nine months. How to become a "free mover"? Once the hosting University has been contatted and study programme has been choosen, the student must contact the Faculty Council in his own Unversity and deliver letter of acceptance of the hosting Univerisity. Students who intend to apply to the ‘Free Movers’ Project at their own expenses and have one or more exams fully recognized for the achievement of their degree must follow these rules: 1. Contact the hosting University to know if the course you wish to attend is active and the cost of such course. Please note that you must be in compliance with the payment of fees at your own University. 2. Contact the Faculty Coordinator of you own University and get written recognition of such course upon delivery of a letter of acceptance from the host University. 3. Submit to your own Board of Education, through the School secretary, the documentation referred to above. The Council will deliberate the prior approval of exams abroad. 4. If not complied with all rules above, examinations taken abroad will not be recognized as valid for inclusion in schooling by your University 5. This is not an LLP program therefore you must provide yourself your stay abroad (food, accomodation, health insurance, etc.) unless differently specified in the Project’s guidelines. COURSES OFFER 2011: ~ HOMEOPATHIC PHARMACY ~ HOMEOPATHIC MEDICINE ~ HERBOLOGY & HERBAL MEDICINE ~ Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) and Responding to Substance Misuse ~ Mediation ~ Neuro-linguistic Programming ~ Psychometrics ~ Addictions & Counselling INCLUDED IN THE PROJECT: √ 3 / 6 months attendance (Intensive Programme) √ Course material (books, notes, manuals, etc) √ Diploma award with international recognition and relevant ECTS or CFU √ Training √ Utility of Campus facilities (library, internet cafè, gym, etc) √ Intensive English Course on arrival ( 20 hours / 28 hours) √ Health Insurance (EU students only) √ Sports NOT INCLUDED IN THE PROJECT: √ accomodation (view affiliated facilities) √ food √ A/R flight and /or alternative transportation
