You may need to purchase a lab coat (about 15) and pay for any trips organised to help your studies.We sell exam paper packs for approximately 3 and recommend you buy a revision guide. We will advise you on this when you arrive.
The Programme
The course covers basic core Biology with a bias towards human functions and activities. It is examined by two written modular exams and a coursework module at both AS and A2 Levels.
The Programme Content
The AS Level covers modules in Circulation, Gaseous Exchange & Growth, Development & Disease.
The A2 Level covers modules in Energy and Reproduction and Genetics, Homeostasis and Ageing. Both AS and A2 Level offer an opportunity for you to study many up-to-date topics.
Progression / Careers
Students of Human Biology go on to follow a wide range of careers eg Nutrition, Pharmacy, Midwifery, Podiatry, Nursing and Occupational Therapy.
