Course programme
MA in Human Givens Psychotherapy
Modules 5 and 6
The full Master’s Degree in Human Givens Psychotherapy includes two final study days, held at NTU. The first, entitled ‘Doing Social Sciences Research’ outlines how to set up a testable hypothesis or other research
question and different ways of collecting and analysing data to address this.
The second day continues this process, begins to match up students with their NTU or MindFields College research supervisor, and maps out the research project in finer detail.
The dates for the two NTU study days for Modules 5 and 6 are:
- Mon 28th and Tues 29th September 2009
- Mon 25th and Tues 26th January 2010
- Mon 27th and Tues 28th September 2010
MODULE 5 is a distance learning module about quantitative and qualitative methodology. It is provided by NTU and will enhance students’ ability and skills in preparation for their MA research project. A small pilot research project will be planned and undertaken, exploring a potential topic for Module 6.
MODULE 6 requires the carrying out and submission of the student’s final research project. The topic is of their choosing, and usually based upon the pilot conducted in Module 5. In this way, learning across the whole MA programme is consolidated. The research supervisor is available for advice throughout.
