The course is accredited by the professional body of HR professionals, the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). On successful completion of the course students will gain Associate Membership of the CIPD and provide the foundation for a career and academic development at postgraduate level. UCLan has been delivering professionally accredited programmes in HRM for many years. Many of our staff are members of the CIPD and have worked as HR professionals. Our academics actively undertake research related to HRM topics and draw upon this to inform their teaching. The Institute for Research into Work, Organisations and Employment (IROWE) is based in UCLan’s School of Management and students have the opportunity to attend research seminars and practitioner workshops which will give them access to current research on a wide range of topics. The workshops are well attended by local HR professionals and provide a good networking opportunity for students.
