The full-time MSc Human Resource Management programme gives you a comprehensive grounding in the core disciplines of HR practice, including:
leading, developing, and managing people
employee relations
employment law
You will graduate equipped to launch a career as an effective human resource professional, able to comply with the highest professional standards and confident in your professional capability.
Focusing on both operational and strategic issues, you’ll develop the expertise needed to shape the HR agenda in any sized organisation, in any sector. You’ll gain insight into the activities, functions and environment of an organisation, and how a HR function can make a key contribution to its success.
The programme is located within a broader context of social sustainability and emphasises ethical considerations for the HR practitioner. The programme is fully accredited with the CIPD professional qualification (to Level 7) and as such there is a focus on teaching the most recent ‘good’ HRM practices that meet a range of people management principles.

You must have a degree (not necessarily in business and management) from an approved university. Exceptional candidates without a first degree but with appropriate professional qualifications (e.g. ACCA) and work experience may be admitted on their merits.

This programme aims to prepare prospective human resource professionals to operate as effective practitioners who are able to comply with the highest professional standards and to continuously develop their professional capability.

This involves equipping students with the skills and knowledge required to work effectively in changing and challenging environments and to develop in them the competencies required to think critically and strategically within an organisational context.

Postgraduate Certificate

Students will be eligible to exit with the award of Postgraduate Certificate if they have successfully completed 60 credits and achieved the award learning outcomes:

Postgraduate Diploma
