Introduction:
The IAB Level 1 in bookkeeping provides a flexible introduction to key topics in bookkeeping. The IAB Level 1 Certificate in Book-keeping is aimed at individuals who wish to begin their studies of book-keeping and gain an entry level qualification at Level 2 of the National Framework from a point of no previous knowledge. It could also be used by those candidates who have some practical knowledge and skills and wish to gain an accredited qualification in the subject.

Owners of small businesses may also find this qualification useful as it gives coverage of the keeping of a single entry book-keeping system, suitable for the production of small business accounts.

Study Mode & Location:
The duration of this course is 13 weeks and runs at various times and dates throughout the year.

Careers & Progression Opportunities:
Candidates may use this qualification as the basis of further study of manual systems and use it as underpinning knowledge for the study of the IAB Level 2 Certificate in Book-keeping and also progress to the IAB Level 1 Certificate in Computerised Book-keeping.

You may need to have an informal interview with a Adult Admissions Adviser before enrolling on this course.
Many courses have limited places so please enquire as soon as possible. Following interview, the earliest you may enrol is mid-June.
