Course Objectives

Prerequisites
You must have the following skills:

• System administrator level understanding of UNIX/Linux including knowledge of network management
• Practical understanding of UNIX/Linux at system administration level with the ability to:
• Manage networks, including SNMP and TCP/IP, routing, switching and network management systems.
• Determine the cause of a software problem, and work around or fix the problem
• Work with basic scripting techniques

Prerequisite courses:

• IBM Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus Administration and Configuration (TN022), or equivalent experience.
• IBM Tivoli Network Manager IP Edition Fundamentals (TN321), or equivalent experience.
