What is the IDEC?
This is approximately a 12-month course that provides students with an analytical and
technical framework to understand the emerging world of e-commerce and will cover the Key Skills underpinning this emerging technology.

Who is IDEC for?
As a Diploma level course, the IDEC does not require in depth technical skills as a prerequisite for entry to the programme. However, to successfully complete the course, basic IT skills are required.

1. Computer Technology - 100% of the overall mark is on a final Global NCC exam
2. Networking Fundamentals - 75% of the overall mark is based on assignment and 25% of the overall mark is on centre-set examination
3. Web Site Development - 75% of the overall mark is based on assignment and 25% of the overall mark is on centre-set examination
4. Implementing Multimedia Solutions - 75% of the overall mark is based on assignment and 25% of the overall mark is on centre-set examination
5. Java - Introduction - 75% of the overall mark is based on assignment and 25% of the overall mark is on centre-set examination
6. Essentials of E-Commerce - 75% of the overall mark is based on assignment and 25% of the overall mark is on centre-set examination
7. Electronic Marketing - 100% of the overall mark is on a final Global NCC exam
8. Electronic Security - 100% of the overall mark is on a final Global NCC exam
9. Project - Building an E-Commerce Web Site - 100% of the overall mark is based on project and documentation
