Course Aims:
The ILM Certificate in Preparing for Business Enterprise is aimed at giving learners the ability to assess their own suitability for starting and running an enterprise and to assist in the decision making. The course also explores the implications of starting up and running a business and builds on the understanding gained in the Award.

Course consists of mandatory units covering:
Assessing own Suitability for Enterprise
Legal and Financial requirements
Marketing and Selling of Products/Services
Preparing a Business Plan

Exam:
Assessment takes the form of a: Reflective Log where learners explore their own expectations and reasons for entering self employment and a Simple Business Case/Plan

Three hours a week for 14 weeks
