Course Description
The course involves a study of business and financial institutions in the public and private sectors. Market forces, profitability and industrial relations are also explored, drawing upon current issues and developments.One of the course objectives is to understand the financial pages of the serious newspapers. Articles from these newspapers are used in the lectures and can be used for coursework. Classes meet for three sessions every week.

Entry Requirements
4 GCSEs Grade D, incl. English. (Maths D for some courses). Or Pass in Level 1 Vocational Qual., Merit for BTECs, plus Key Skills Level 1 Comm. (App. of Number for some courses) or equivalent. Diplomas require Functional Skills in ICT, Maths and English.
